Thank you for your interest in a Blue Ridge Tamaskan puppy.  While Tamaskan are wonderful dogs, they are not for everyone. These dogs are highly intelligent, very active, and are quite demanding of their owners. It is vital to the well-being of the dogs and breed that they be placed in homes where they can be successful integrating into their families. 

 

You will find that our application is long and personal.  This information is needed in order to best place our puppies.  The demand for Tamaskan Dogs is very high and we expect many applications for our litter(s). All applicants will be thoroughly screened and not everyone can be chosen.

 

We will be forming a waiting list of qualified applicants prior to our upcoming litter (anticipated in June 2023), but no one will be contacted until a litter announcement has been made and pregnancy confirmed (mid-May).  At that point, we will close our applications and conduct phone or video calls for our best qualified applicants. If you do not hear from us after a confirmed pregnancy announcement, please do not assume that you do not qualify for a Blue Ridge Tamaskan Dog.  Many factors will be considered and we will only be able to choose as many owners as there are pups, so remaining qualified applicants will be given consideration for following litters.

 

Once the puppies are born and we know how many pups we will have available, we will inform the chosen families.  At that time, we will review our puppy contract together and request a $600 non-refundable deposit. Deposit payment is expected within seven (7) business days upon notification of acceptance. We want to ensure that all of our pups have committed homes as soon as possible after they are born.  This allows us to match our puppies to their new homes better. Once we have a better understanding of each new owner's family environment,  we can then observe as the puppies grow which pup will fit best in each environment and best choose which pup goes to each applicant. Shipping and costs associated with shipping or transport are not included in the price of the dog.  We expect new owners to pick up their puppy in person - we want to meet you and for your pup to be transported home in the loving care of their new puppy parent(s) versus be shipped.  Exceptions MAY be made for registered breeding homes overseas. The balance of payment is due at the time of pickup or prior to transport (if approved). 

 

Pups will go home to their new families between 8 and 12 weeks of age. We recommend a minimum of 10 weeks so that good manners, Puppy Culture, and partial potty training can be instilled before they go home. It helps make the transition easier for all.

 

The price of a Blue Ridge Tamaskan puppy from our upcoming litter is $3200.00 USD. Co-Ownership may be possible for a few of our best breed quality puppies from the litter.
